This is my second posting for my advanced digital photography course. The subject was light. I tried to capture the light bulb breaking but I didn't get the shot, plus I didn't want to break any more light bulbs so this is what I came up with instead.

I shots some photos of some of my jewelry on a mirror for my depth of field [this means only a portion of the photo will be in focus] project in my advanced digital class.

fun with fruit

I enjoyed the fruit fun for the first project so I thought I would attempt it again with my 2nd project which was based on depicting: line, shape, color, texture and value. Plus we have so much leftover fruit from the Fourth of July BBQ.

blues

I finished my first project for the new quarter. I shot blueberries in a vase with Sierra Mist. For some added punch I used a blue light to highlight them. This is the feedback I got from my prof.
"How fun and intimate these images are. They engage the viewer differently because of the intimate close up that allows us to see the textures and the shapes, the bubbles a world in and of itself. I am just going to give you a big WOW. You filled the frame, you used interesting DOF, the lighting just pops all kinds of colors into what seems like it should be all one hue composition. Nice job!"
